Privacy Policy
CurbCue is a free app that shows garbage and recycling days for six New Jersey towns. It is published by COG Software Solutions.
Effective date: November 6, 2026
The short version
CurbCue keeps your household on your phone. COG Software Solutions does not receive it, and nobody else can read it through the app. The app has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no ads.
What the app keeps
The app saves these on your phone:
- your town and Collection Zone
- your street address and ZIP, so the app can find your zone
- your reminder time, and whether reminders are on
- your light or dark theme choice
These live in the app's own files on your phone. The app uses them to show your schedule and to set your reminders.
How long it keeps them
The app keeps them until you change them or remove the app. Uninstalling CurbCue deletes its files from your phone.
Who can see it
Only you, on your phone. The app makes no network calls, so nothing leaves your phone through the app.
Backups
Android and iPhone may include the app's files in your own Google or Apple backup, under your phone's backup settings. CurbCue doesn't change that and can't see those backups. To change what your phone backs up, open your phone's backup settings.
Reminders
When you turn on reminders, your phone asks for permission to show notifications. Your phone's operating system schedules each reminder on the phone. No server sends them. You can turn reminders off in the app or in your phone's Settings.
What CurbCue receives
Only an email that you choose to send. "Send Feedback" opens your own email app with a message already started. It lists the app version, your town and your Collection Zone. It never includes your street address or ZIP. Nothing is sent until you press send in your email app, and you can edit or delete the message first. If you send it, COG Software Solutions gets your email address and whatever you wrote, and uses them to answer you and fix the schedule.
Links to other sites
Some links open your phone's browser, for example your town's official schedule page. That site and your browser have their own privacy terms.
Children
The app collects nothing from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the effective date. If a future version connects to the internet, we will update this policy before it ships.
